How is the 10% growth measured after 12 months?
We use an independent bank valuation from a major Australian lender to determine the property's value 12 months after settlement. If that valuation isn't at least 10% above your original purchase price, you become eligible for the $25,000 payment and the option for us to repurchase the property at your original purchase price.
What does "$15,000 below market value" actually mean?
Before we recommend any property to you, we benchmark the agreed purchase price against an independent bank valuation. If the bank valuation isn't at least $15,000 above the negotiated purchase price, the property doesn't make it onto our shortlist. Our current portfolio is averaging $27,000 in discount to bank value at acquisition.
How does the finance guarantee work?
Before we begin your property search we make sure your borrowing position is solid and you're in a position to actually purchase. If, after we've engaged, your finance is unexpectedly declined and you can't proceed with the purchase, you receive a full refund of our buyers agency fees.
Is this available to all Handle clients?
The guarantees apply to new Handle Properties buyers agency clients who engage us under our standard agreement. Eligibility, settlement dates and the specific conditions of each guarantee are documented in writing in your engagement contract.
