Before you start
Our role, in plain terms.
Handle Properties is your buyer's agent. We find the property and negotiate price and terms. Everything else in a purchase, including legal, inspections, finance and insurance, is your responsibility, carried out with professionals you engage directly.
What Handle does
- Sources and researches properties against your brief
- Negotiates price and contract terms on your behalf
- Interprets building and pest reports from a price perspective and advises if a further discount is worth pursuing
- Facilitates the transaction: keeps the agent, your solicitor, broker and property manager moving
- Gives you access to our panel of independent professionals
What you are responsible for
- Engaging your solicitor and acting on their legal advice
- Reviewing and signing the contract
- Engaging your building and pest inspector; the report is yours
- Your finance, insurance and property management agreement
- Every decision to sign, proceed, negotiate or withdraw
Our panel: access, not a guarantee
Panel solicitors, inspectors, brokers, insurers and property managers are independent businesses. You engage them, they act for you, and they are accountable to you. Handle does not supervise their work and gives no guarantee or warranty as to their advice, reports, performance, fees or timeframes.
